These are neat little solar lamps. They give off a nice low light that mimics a candle flicker. The flicker is subtle and adds a nice touch. These are not heavy duty, they are lightweight plastic and would easily break if dropped. They do come with rechargeable batteries already installed. Before setting them in full sunlight you need to make sure the button on the bottom is set to ON. Set them out in the morning and let them charge all day. I brought mine in and used them in the living room. They would be great for any room in the house or outside. Just remember if your using them outside and you live in an area that gets high winds to be sure and secure them. So far they hold a charge well. I turned mine on around 8 pm and they were still on at 7 am when I got up. They will automatically come on and go off themselves. Be sure and peel the plastic cover off that's over the solar panels before using. With all that being said I do feel like the price is a bit on the high side but all an all a great solar lamp with lots of possibilities. I think they would look awesome in a Fall decoration or for Halloween. I really like them.
