We ordered 4, 100” wide panels, to provide both shade and privacy, for our lower, outdoor patio. The color was EXACTLY as I ordered and these panels ARE heavy and very well made.I read the reviews and studied BEFORE making this purchase.I did NOT want our panels blowing in the wind, so I took the time and un-did the side bottom hems and added galvanized chain links into the bottoms of each panel.Once I thread the chain through the end, down to the other end, by tying a heavy work boot shoes string, to one end of the link and putting a LARGE safety pin, through the boot string, in order to pull it through the hem line.Once I got the chain link pulled across the entire panel, I bought matching thread and I sewed the starting links, right and left ends, into the curtain panel itself, this way the chain would not bunch up and would remain anchored into the bottom hemline of the panels. By sewing down only the first links on both left and right ends, it allows for the curtain panels to be pulled open or closed. The weight of the “ Galvanized “ chain KEEPS the panels from blowing in the wind and in storms.Whoever, wrote that question in the question and answer section. I REALLY appreciate your insight— it was LABOR INTENSIVE AND TEDIUS BUT WELL WORTH THE EXTRA EFFORT AND EXPENSE OF THE GALVANIZED CHAIN.Make sure to purchase galvanized chain, because it will NOT RUST onto your curtain panels, if they get wet from rain or moist, due to morning dampness. The GROMMETS ARE STRONG AND RUB OILED BRONZE. I wanted the darker grommets, too!I did a ton of research and looked at every option for my screened in porch.Decided on these based on price and reviews.I’ve had them up for 2 months. They are thick and the quality shows. 92% on the amount of light they let in. Not a true “black out”. When it rains, they barely get wet. And if they do take on moisture, it seems to dry pretty quick. I’ve had absolutely no sun fading but I only take direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours a day.Regarding sound retention, it’s certainly better than having nothing, but it still just fabric that’s attempting to knock down my loud and obnoxious drunk voice at 3 AM. I’ve literally put an air mattress on the porch and made a bedroom out there Which is awesome since my wife doesn’t really like me anyway. When measuring, I only added 30% On length. They say to double the actual length but I did not follow that and I’m glad I didn’t. When the blinds are open they lay pretty flat. I was worried that they would still be bulky and they are not. I got the bronze grommets and used residential copper pipe to hang them on. Way cheaper than buying curtain rods and it looks pretty good.I also ordered an additional shade that was smaller from a different run most likely, and the color was identical. I saw someone complained that there was a variance but I did not see anything at all.Sent from my porch where my wife isn’tIf I could give these curtains 100 stars I would still want to give them 110. I live in Florida and my screened porch faces south which means the sun is all over my porch from sunrise to sunset and it gets SO HOT that I stopped going out there altogether. These curtains have given my porch back to me. They block the sunlight and still allow breezes to come through, like sitting in the shade all day. Unlike most insulated curtains which are stiff and crunchy, these curtains are totally soft and pliable and blow with the breeze. The day I put them up the temperature in my porch was 94° F in the shade (this is December) and after the curtains were up the temp in my porch dropped down to 80°. WOW. Plus, now I have my much needed privacy day and night! Chadmade was a delight to deal with. I emailed them and asked for matching tie backs and they answered me almost immediately and I received the tie backs with my order as promised. The color is exactly as shown in the photos and they arrived earlier than expected. Best Christmas gift I ever gave myself!UPDATE MARCH 9 2021: OK, now my beautiful curtains have been up since December 2017. After 3 years and 3 months of direct sunlight from dawn to dusk, they are everything they were when they were brand new. A bit of fading on the exterior side but nothing to bother about, gives them character and depth. We sold our house and moved into a rental this year. Wanting more privacy but not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on a house that isn’t “ours” I searched for a reasonably priced solution. The width of the space we needed coverage for was long enough that these 100” wide panels were an obvious choice! I bought two panels for each side of our patio cover, and used clear zip ties to hang the outdoor curtain rod (that we also got on amazon) from the overhang. The material is opaque enough that you can’t see through even on sunny days, and heavy enough that it hangs well. I did modify after a couple days by adding more zip ties on each end through the curtain rod hole to keep the panels from sliding back and forth during the wind. This worked great and stopped the problem. They are light enough that they blow around on windy days, but have found that using cheap rope ties (also bought on amazon) to tie them open on windy days makes them stay put. Very very happy with our results and can now enjoy privacy on our back patio!!The curtains are well-made of durable but soft quality material. I purchased 2 pair to hang around my pergola. I have gotten lots of compliments. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because they are not weighted on the bottom and they blow in the wind. Was over the moon when i received these curtains quality felt great, however since they have been in place for few weeks the colour has totally faded out leaving the outside white and they grow mound really quickly dispute the fact we haven’t had rainSo disappointed in what I originally thought was a quality productThey where sold as outside curtainsWe were trying to find some outdoor curtains that we could leave up outside on the gazebo and found there was very little choice around. Having found these I thought they were a little on the expensive side and was concerned as to whether they would be worth the cost or not. We didn`t want to spend so much if they were going to be thin and flimsy and easily damaged by the wind and it`s hard to tell just from pictures. We ordered them anyway due to not finding any other suitable ones. I have to say though, we are not disappointed. They are very nice looking, seem to be well made, are thick and heavy and robust and just what we wanted and so worth the cost for us. We have only just put them up so will have to see how well they last over time. And delivery was a lot shorter than the estimated and to the UK form China in just 3 weeks. We were a bit worried as we noticed they were coming from China but we wentvwith the reviews being good as they weren't the cheapest. When they arrived we were very pleased, reasonably heavy material and look lovely, it's not rained yet so not sure on the waterproof element.Ordered a few of these curtains. Some came with missing tiebacks and the others weren't of a great quality and the poppers popped-out. Despite emailing and trying to chase up the company I'm getting zero response.I ordered these white curtains to match a white roller blund on my new gazebo but when I put them up they are grey not white and dont match anything. Really disappointed because I cant return them as I went to the trouble of getting them altered.
